How to Swap TRX to USDT TRC-20 on TronBid

By: TronBid Team3 min read3

Convert native TRX to USDT TRC-20 from your own wallet. Check spendable balance, the current estimate, network fees and return-to-sender payout.

A red TRX coin changes into a gold USDT coin along a glowing green exchange ribbon.

To exchange TRX for USDT on TronBid, choose the TRX → USDT direction and send native TRX from your own TRON wallet to the address on the exchange page. The service returns USDT TRC-20 to the sending address. Registration and wallet connection are not required for this flow.

Start with spendable TRX

Check the available TRX balance in your wallet. The total portfolio value can include staked TRX, resources and other tokens; those are not all immediately spendable coins.

TRX held in Stake 2.0 cannot be sent as an ordinary transfer while it remains staked. Pending unstaking funds also need to become withdrawable and be withdrawn before they appear in the spendable balance. Do not start unstaking only because a portfolio total looks larger than the available amount. First decide which liquid funds you actually intend to exchange. The staking and liquidity guide explains the distinction.

Choose the correct direction

Open the TRX to USDT calculator and set TRX as the sending asset. Enter the amount you want to convert. The quick buttons are shortcuts; you can also edit the number yourself.

Read the estimated USDT amount and the currently displayed minimum. Check the units next to the rate. A quote written as TRX per USDT cannot simply be multiplied by a TRX amount. Our exchange calculation guide gives examples for both directions.

Leave room for the sending cost

An ordinary native TRX transfer consumes Bandwidth. It is different from sending USDT, which invokes a token contract and also uses Energy. If available Bandwidth does not cover the native transfer, the wallet may need TRX for the network charge.

Review the final transaction preview instead of sending the entire displayed balance automatically. Account activation and transaction details can affect the cost. Read when a TRX transfer needs Bandwidth if the fee is unexpected. Renting Energy alone does not pay the Bandwidth cost of a native transfer.

Send to the current exchange address

  1. Copy the address from the current exchange page.
  2. Select native TRX on TRON in your self-custody wallet.
  3. Confirm that the sending address is the wallet where you want to receive USDT.
  4. Check the recipient, amount and network charge before signing.
  5. Save the TXID after sending.

Do not use wrapped TRX on another chain. Do not send from a centralized exchange or a service that uses a shared withdrawal wallet: the payout follows the on-chain sender, not your email address or customer account. This flow also cannot send USDT to a separate recipient of your choice.

Understand when the amount becomes final

The calculator is an estimate, not a reserved order. The final exchange rate is fixed after the incoming transfer is confirmed. A change in price between calculation and confirmation can change the output.

After processing, check the USDT TRC-20 balance at the sending address. Some wallet interfaces need to refresh the token list; a successful outgoing payout can be inspected in TRONSCAN even while a wallet display is catching up. Use the transaction result checklist to distinguish a display delay from a failed or missing transaction.

Keep the records if processing takes longer

Retain the incoming TXID, sending address and approximate time. Contact support through the site if the transfer is successful but the exchange remains unresolved. Sending again creates another transfer; it does not repair the original one.

If you later need native TRX again, use the separate USDT to TRX instructions. A round trip includes pricing and network costs in each direction, so it should not be treated as a free reversal.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Only spendable native TRX can be sent. Staked or pending unstaking balances must first complete the applicable release and withdrawal steps.

An ordinary native TRX transfer uses Bandwidth rather than smart-contract Energy. Other transaction types may have different requirements; check the wallet preview.

The calculator does not reserve a price. The final rate is fixed after the incoming transfer is confirmed, so market changes can affect the payout.
