How to Sell TRON Bandwidth and Read the Offer Terms

By: TronBid Team3 min read4

Check delegatable Bandwidth, compare buyer orders with seller offers, review duration and calculate the displayed net payout on TronBid.

Blue Bandwidth streams connect a TRON staking vault to a wallet through a green marketplace arch.

Bandwidth can be sold through resource delegation, but it needs its own inventory and pricing checks. Energy and Bandwidth are different resources: owning a large Energy balance does not mean you have the Bandwidth required for a buyer's order.

Check the Bandwidth you own

Look at the resource supplied by your own eligible stake and what remains available for delegation. The free Bandwidth allowance used for your own transactions is not a stock of staked resources that you can sell to another account.

Existing delegations and recent usage can reduce the amount you can supply. Leave enough capacity for your own transfers and resource operations. The resource comparison helps separate balances that wallet interfaces may place beside each other.

Select Bandwidth in the marketplace

Open the seller page and choose Bandwidth in the resource selector. Before entering an amount, confirm that the form's unit, minimum and available balance all refer to Bandwidth.

You can fulfill a buyer order with its stated price and duration, or create a seller offer with your own amount, price and term. For a published offer, configure the limited Seller Permission shown in Seller Settings. Review the actual permission operations in your wallet; never share keys or a seed phrase.

Compare demand before setting a price

A long rental with a high total payment is not automatically better than a shorter one. It also reserves resources for longer. Compare like-for-like quantities and terms, then check the final amount after the seller fee applicable to your account.

For example, two offers with equal resource quantities but different durations should not be compared only by their headline TRX totals. Record the term beside each price. If the form displays a duration multiplier, include it; the live transaction total is the reference for that offer.

Read an illustrative unit calculation

Suppose an offer covers 20,000 Bandwidth units for its stated term at a base price of 100 SUN per unit. The base calculation is 2,000,000 SUN, or 2 TRX, before any separately displayed term adjustment or seller fee. This is a fictional example, not an available package.

Do not copy an Energy unit price into a Bandwidth offer without checking the resource market. The resources serve different operations and have different stake-to-resource relationships. A calculated stake equivalent is not an extra spendable TRX balance.

Track lock and inventory after a sale

Keep the amount, receiving address, delegation transaction and lock information with the order. The TRX backing the delegation remains staked with its owner; the recipient gets use of the resource. The TRON delegation rules describe locked and unlocked delegations.

Do not count locked resources as immediately available for another sale. If auto-repeat is enabled, the repeated offer still depends on available resources; the seller form explains that insufficient inventory can leave it paused. See how to inspect a resource delegation for the chain-side checks.

Evaluate completed results

Confirm both delivery and the eligible net payout in the dashboard. A listing, a signed transaction and a completed paid sale are different stages. Keep failed or unexecuted attempts separate when calculating actual receipts.

For the buyer's perspective, read when renting Bandwidth is useful. If your inventory is mainly Energy, use the separate Energy selling guide instead of treating the two balances as interchangeable.
